What is VoIP?
VoIP stands for Voice over IP: making calls over your internet connection instead of a traditional phone line. For your customers nothing changes, they simply call your number. For you a lot does: you’re reachable on your desk phone, your mobile or your computer, you set up queues and forwarding yourself, and you usually pay less than for a traditional line.
How it works at TeleVoIP
Cloud PBX
Our own phone system runs in the cloud and is included with every number. Queues, IVR menus, opening hours, voicemail to e-mail and call forwarding are set up through the portal.
SIP trunks
Already have a phone system, such as 3CX? We connect it directly to our network. You pay per number or per channel.
Microsoft Teams
Make and receive calls with your regular landline number, directly from Teams on your computer or mobile.
Numbers and porting
Geographic numbers in every Belgian zone, plus 078 and 0800. We port your existing numbers ourselves.
Preconfigured handsets
Your handsets arrive fully configured. Plug in and call.
Fixed and mobile together
Link your mobile to the PBX (FMC) so you’re reachable everywhere on your landline number.
Good to know
Does VoIP work with my current internet connection?
Almost always. A call uses about 100 kbps. Stability matters more than speed. If in doubt, we’ll look at your connection together.
Can I keep my numbers?
Yes. We do the porting ourselves, including number ranges and 078 and 0800 numbers.
Per number or per channel: which do I choose?
Per number suits smaller businesses: one number with two simultaneous calls and the cloud PBX included. Per channel suits companies with many numbers or many simultaneous calls; Belgian numbers are then included.
What about emergency calls?
Calling emergency numbers works normally over VoIP. Because VoIP runs over the internet, it isn’t possible during a power or internet outage. A mobile phone or 4G backup covers that.
